SsangYong has added the SE to the Korando range.

WITH the UK market experiencing a welcome rise in new car registrations, SsangYong is making a bid for some of those sales.

It’s latest offering is the Korando SE. Styled by Italian car designer Giorgetto Giugiaro of Ital Design, it is powered by an advanced and robust 2.0-litre four cylinder turbo diesel engine producing 149PS, making it capable of towing two tonnes.

The SE features a level of equipment you would normally expect from much more expensive cars, including Electronic stability programme (ESP) with Hill Start Assist, Active Rollover Protection (ARP) and ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).

It also comes equipped with a number of luxury touches including roof rails, tinted glass and rear parking sensors, while inside there are electric windows front and rear, a leather covered steering wheel and gear shift, air conditioning, cruise control and a Kenwood MP3 CD & RDS radio with iPod & Bluetooth, remote audio controls and six speakers.

“With a new and extremely affordable purchase price, a highly competitive PCP scheme on all models and a market leading 5 year limitless mileage warranty, there has never been a better time to purchase a Korando,” said Paul Williams, CEO of SsangYong Motor UK.

“In the current economy, customers tell us they want an affordable car, a competitive purchase plan and the peace of mind of a long and ‘quibble free’ warranty — that’s exactly what the new Korando delivers,” says Steve Gray, marketing and communications director of SsangYong. “The result is a car that is not only fantastic value at just £14,995, but also comes with a level of standard equipment many of the so called ‘value brands’ don’t even have on their options list!

“SsangYong has an enviable reputation for building extremely well engineered vehicles, and this new Korando draws on that pedigree — it’s an honest, reliable and highly capable car.”

The SsangYong range includes the base Korando —  crossover line up with two or four-wheel drive from £14,995; the  CSX 4×4 light commercial £15,995 (excl VAT); Sports pick-up — a rugged 4×4 double cab pick-up with the finesse of a passenger car from £18,295 (incl VAT); Rexton CS, the commercial version of the Rexton 4×4 from £16,665 (excl VAT) and the Rodius 2.0L spacious seven seat MPV available in two or all-wheel-drive from £15,995.
