Toyota, Nissan and Honda announce global recall over airbag safety fears

TOYOTA and Nissan have announced the recall of 6.5-million cars worldwide after safety concerns over airbags were raised.

Honda recalled thousands of cars in the US in March due to concerns over the airbags and is planning a further recall.

The airbags, which are made by Tokyo-based Takata, a world leader in car safety, are being recalled as a safety precaution according to the car giants and no accidents or deaths have been reported by Toyota or Nissan.
