Carbon special editions are smokin’

Bold and beautiful… the Carbon Edition coupe.

ASTON Martin has unleashed two new Carbon Edition DBS models at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Unveiled this week, the new models follow on from the successful DBS Carbon Black. The special editions come in two colours — Flame Orange and Ceramic Grey — and complement the original Carbon Black.
On top of Aston Martin’s usual high quality hand finish comes the option of a satin lacquer paint finish, replacing the usual glass veneer finish with a silk-like texture.
The Carbon Edition models have 10-spoke gloss black diamond turned wheels with a reversed diamond turned or full gloss black finish available as an option. The brake calipers come in black as standard with a choice of optional colours. A warm black grille, carbon fibre mirror heads, carbon rear lamp in-fills and smoked rear lights create a DBS specification like never before.
The stylish interior features familiar swathes of obsidian black or maranello orange semi-aniline leather taking in excess of 70 man hours to hand stitch and finish.
On the coupe, the headlining is quilted in leather. Making the Carbon Edition stand out from a standard DBS is the carbon fibre fascia with a carbon weave which follows the shape of the dashboard. The fibres can only be aligned so well by hand.
Magnesium alloy paddles control the Touchtronic II automatic gearbox and a unique carbon fibre special edition sill plaque with laser etched metal inlay completes the specification.
The standard DBS has been updated with the new Aston Martin Garmin satellite navigation system possessing improved graphics and is more intuitive to use. Beam blade windscreen wipers reduce wind noise and give a cleaner wipe, even at high speeds.
DBS Carbon Edition prices start at £186,582 for the coupe and £196,581 for the Volante with customer deliveries expected from early next year.

Ceramic Grey is anything but dull.
