Ford adds two new ECOnetic Fiestas to range

Ford now has three ECOnetic Fiestas in its line-up.

FORD has boosted its green credentials by making its low emission ECOnetic engine available in the mid-range Fiesta Zetec and top-of-the-range Titanium models.
The super frugal ECOnetic Fiestas have lower CO2 emissions of just 95g/km, reduced by 3g/km.
Buyers of the Fiesta have a choice of three “green” models now that the Zetec and Titanium models have joined the Edge ECOnetic. All three are powered by the Dagenham-made 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi engine with its Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) which delivers 78.5mpg on the combined cycle. This exceptional fuel consumption and zero road tax are already popular with buyers, but now the models come with more standard features.
Anthony Ireson, Ford of Britain marketing director, said:  “Many drivers want to drive a car with lower emissions but still want comfort, performance and an affordable price. Expanding ECOnetic across the series answers that demand, with style.”
So, if you’re looking for a green carriage, you can choose from:
• Edge ECOnetic — £13,895 — with Electronic Stability Programme, air conditioning, lowered suspension, low rolling resistance tyres and a package of aerodynamic improvements.
•Zetec ECOnetic — £14,445 — with 14in six-spoke alloy wheels, front foglights, chrome surrounds on headlights, lowered front grille, rear wheel air deflectors, tailgate handle and belt line finisher, three-spoke leather steering wheel and ambient lighting.
•Titanium ECOnetic — £15,645 — with Sony DAB radio, Bluetooth voice control and USB connectivity, cruise control, electric folding door mirrors, front upper grille chrome strip, privacy glass, electronic automatic temperature control, automatic headlamps, automatic wipers, two rear speakers and perimeter alarm.
The Fiesta ECOnetics all achieve extremely low CO2 emissions because of its aerodynamic shape, low suspension, low rolling resistance tyres and low friction oil. Plus, to make it easier for drivers to maximise fuel economy, there is a green shift indicator to indicate the best time to change gear.
Two new colours have been added to the eight previously available – Mars Red and Fashionista, and  a nice touch, usually only fitted to larger cars, is the keyless entry system.
